Tea at Tony's

We had Dinner at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom WDW and this was my after dinner treat  :)

One of my vary favorite stories in the Bible is from
 Matthew 1 : 18 - 25
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save his people from their sins.”
22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[g] (which means “God with us”).
24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Christmas Tea Windows

Isaiah 9:6-7
(6) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Christmas has to me my most favorite time of year.
I found these wonderful tea Christmas Window desplays at England Ecpot and had to share them

Novembers Teapot

Today I was remined of how great our God is.. Our Father truly cares about the details in our lives...sometimes we can forget how Loving, Caring and Great our God is.
Psalm 147: 3-4
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.

Tea Party at Cracker Barrel

At Cracker Barrel this evening I came across the cutest teaset. The teacups, teabags, sugar cubes and cupcakes were made out of wood

 Tinker Bell Teapot and Teacup

 Small World Teapot
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

This little Piggy

This is a cute little teapot I have, I believe it is really for cream, it is just too sweet.
The wooden pig in the background is from Bali and is actually a young childs toy, it rocks back and forth. My husbands Grandparents brought it back with them when they were on Vacation in Bali some 17 years ago.

This is a little brick oven we found in a shop at WDW.

Tea and Prayer

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you

 Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
 1 John 5:14
This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
James 1:5-7
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault; and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Tha man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord.

Rhubarb Pie - Happy 4th of July !

INGREDIENTS

3 cups rhubarb, cleaned and chopped into bite size pieces.
1-1/2 cups sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
2 eggs, beaten

Pastry for a 10-inch two crust pie.

NOTE: If you're using early/young rhubarb which is not as tart, go with a little less sugar. I usually go with a little less sugar, anyway.

Simple, simple, simple - toss everything together and pile into a pie pan lined with one crust. Top with the second crust and bake. If you like, you can cut the second crust into strips and weave across the top of the filling.

Bake at 375 degrees F. for 45 - 50 minutes until bubbly.

The easiest pie crust in the world (and very good) is the Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust that you just unroll, place in the pie plate and fill. That's my personal opinion and I've received no compensation for it.

Time

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Did you know that clocks were invented by monks who wanted to make sure they stopped at specific times of the day and night to pray? It is a little funny to think that an invention designed to help us make time to pray often keeps us from praying at all.  If we could reestablish a natural rhythm of prayer throughout the day, it would be as common and as life sustaining as the heartbeat within our chest.
Starting right now, make your goal to pray seven times a day; the moment you wake (praise); in the bath/shower (repentance of sin); morning break (gratitude for God's goodness); grace before each meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner); and at bedtime (a blessing for others). As we incorporate prayer and praise into our days, we will begin to see God at work in our lives.

Today is my husband's 44th Birthday and he picked the recipe for our Tuesday Night Dinner across the miles dish tonight.
(Tuesday Night dinners started some time back with my friend Jolie who now lives in NC, we use to cook together once a week when she lived here in Florida, ..now that Jolie is in NC we decided to continue the tradition but with a twist, we still cook together but now we post our dinners and recipes on our blogs)  Dinner was great! I have not made this recipe is such a long time, it is a recipe that my mom use to make and it was a family hit, now.. it is a bit higher in calories then what we usually cook but since my husband picked it for his Birthday dish it was a must and it really was a nice treat :)  My husband received fruit flowers from his mom today so I used some of the fruit on top of our salad as a side dish with our dinner and it was lovely and yummy.  Happy Birthday Honey!
Jolie made her dish from the clean eating recipe she found for the same dish, you can click here to see her lovely dinner.
